BiH2 is an innovative-patented technology based on a biological platform to generate green hydrogen and renewable high added value co-products for several uses in agriculture (biostimulants), zootechnics (microbial proteins) and chemical sectors.
BiH2 technology’s development began in 2017 and Biorenova has carried out the R&D activities also with the advice of Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences of Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, combined with support from external certified laboratories and qualified technicians.
Through the equity financing from private investors, among which the CGI Holding, Biorenova has completed the first technology scale up. The lab and industrial scale bioreactors of the BiH2 technology-focused prototype has been produced and furnished by Solaris Biotech, while the filtering units for the co-products separation by Sepra
